Comcast handles the connection from pole to grounding block. Once that’s done, it’s the customers’ responsibility. If they need repairs, it can be expensive and they might drill through the house walls wherever they choose. They don’t install wiring inside the walls. I’ve witnessed some questionable work Comcast does on my property. So yes, they aren’t accountable for the wiring or any devices linked to their service—except when you rent the equipment like the gateway or cable boxes.
