The resolutions appear consistent because of how the system handles recording settings. It's the same behavior whether you're using instant recording or other methods.

I don't really understand, it's hard to tell if your display is messed up or if I'm just feeling weird. It seems like a nice PCLinuxOS setup! Your game clips with GeForce Experience look great, and it looks like the configuration files might be causing some issues—maybe check the 'arguments' in your etc/x11/xorg.conf. Could be something there to adjust. I'm a bit confused, but I think we should wait and see what others say. Sorry, but I'm busy fixing my own system too—I got sidetracked by the new PCLinuxOS setup!

I captured these images on my phone, and I opened the footage in Movies & TV app on my PC. GeForce Instant Replays captures things like this for me somehow. Notice how the game and desktop appear reduced at the top left while everything else is dark? What should I do about it?
