Hello there! I’m just starting out here. I have an i3 2120 with 8GB DDR3 RAM and a NVidia GTX 1050 ti with 4GB VRAM. I’m thinking about upgrading my CPU but don’t know which i7 model would fit my motherboard. I’m hoping for something around i7 2600 or 2600k. Could someone confirm if this setup works with my PC? My motherboard is a Dell 0M5DCD. Thanks a lot!

It backs a second generation I3 if it supports a second gen I7. Which computer are you running? Are you using a Dell OptiPlex 770 or another model?

After the software update, it could run Ivy Bridge similar to the i7 3770.

It seems you're referring to a Dell 390. Could you clarify what you need help with regarding it?

because it uses an H61 chipset, the top CPU choice would be an i7 2600 or 2600K. The 2700K isn’t officially supported, but it’s still a second-generation model. I hope you can locate a decent used price for it.
