I wanted to experiment with overclocking ahead of my CPU cooler installation. I did some research and watched several YouTube tutorials about using Ryzen Master. I selected profile 2, increased the frequency to 3700MHz across all cores, and set the voltage to 1.275. After running the "Apply and Test" stress test, everything seemed okay initially. Then I tried setting the speed to 3700MHz again, expecting a precise voltage value, but noticed the voltage fluctuated instead of staying steady. At that moment, I realized it was unusual for the voltage to vary so much. I didn’t pay much attention then.

Later, after a crash and another after exiting Civ6, I experienced a BSOD. The display disappeared, the system reset, and fans spun while RGB lights flashed. Only pressing the reset button or holding power restored normal operation.

I attempted to revert to factory settings, but upon restarting, all cores jumped between 2600 and 3900 MHz with constantly changing voltages. When I pressed the reset button in the top corner, it confirmed the system was back to factory defaults.

After resetting the profile to stock, the Auto button lit up normally, and the core speed and voltage behaved abnormally. If I used a manual profile instead, the settings remained static at 3400MHz and 1.1375 until I reset the machine again.

The BIOS indicated 3400MHz, but both Ryzen Master and CPU-Z reported erratic core speeds and voltage changes. Now I’m looking into further adjustments.

Your BIOS configurations, along with software issues, often lead to defaulting back to standard settings unless the reset option is used once more.
