Montech X1 case, Intel 17 12700K, AMD Asrock Challenger RX6600, Aorus Elite AX DDR4, Crucial P3 1TB SSD, 16GB (2x8GB), T-FORCE Vulcan DDR4 RAM, Bequiet Dark Rock 4 cooler, 650W power supply, fixed cables, and 120mm PWM fans (four). I also wanted to mention the photos I took were a bit shaky, sorry for that.

It might be related to the fans or CPU cooler attachment. If the motherboard is positioned differently and the cooler hangs down, the CPU may not touch the socket properly. Try using only the essential components—motherboard, 8-pin CPU, 24-pin motherboard, and power switch—to test. The i7 12700K should have an integrated graphics card unless you selected the F model, so check if it connects via the motherboard. If the setup with minimal parts still fails, a mounting issue is likely.

Consider testing with the simplest setup first. Install parts gradually—GPU, storage drives, fans, and case connectors—one at a time if needed. You can skip any step without affecting others. It’s also helpful to only use the power button and avoid connecting other features like the reset button or HDD/Activity LED.

Yeah I tried it now and nothing changed. I also reseated the cpu since you mentioned it may be a mounting issue but still nothing. I also looked for potentially bent pins and as far as I could tell it was fine but, you may be a better judge of that than me. Also, sorry for responding kinda late.

Socket appears normal but seems to act differently. It could vary depending on whether the case is set up vertically or horizontally. It might help to try a different case or check if the motherboard orientation affects performance beyond the case. Perhaps sending it back for repair would be best, especially if you can't determine the cause. I don't think another issue exists—everything seems to work outside the case but not inside.

I'm not sure why it stops working right after being placed in the case. My friend might be able to look into it, but I think I'll return it to MicroCenter as you suggested. Thanks for your help!
