Hello everyone! I recently purchased the H100x Elite RGB AIO for my PC. I linked the pump’s 4-pin connector to the splitter and also connected one of the two fans, both using 4-pin PWM signals to my hub (not Corsair). The third pin was left unconnected, which I couldn’t find any guidance on online. Most suggestions pointed to connecting it to the CPU fan or AIO headers, but I have a B550 Tomahawk and my motherboard doesn’t have a 3-pin header. I only had 4-pin PWMs or a 3-pin ARGB port, which is the same as the Corsair version. There are also other 4-pin headers available, but for RGB it needs a full 4-pin header. My system started up normally, the pump and one fan displayed ARGB correctly, while the other fan’s 4-pin cable wasn’t connected—because the splitter had a male ARGB cable and it fit, while the female ARGB stayed on the motherboard. Both fans were working with PWM signals. When I opened Ryzen Master, the CPU temperature reached 95°C (!!) for a Ryzen 5 3600 with that TDP. I immediately turned off the PC to prevent damage. (Hopefully this works without harming my Ryzen.) Could someone clarify how to fix the pump and the fan’s ARGB connection? Thanks in advance! I’m really worried about losing my PC.

This cable connects to a 4-pin fan header and supplies power to the pump. When the pump wasn't running, only the ARGB signal was active.

What remains from the splitter is the single 1-fan 4-pin ARGB cable that didn’t connect, and there are no matching headers available. The 3-pin pump cable is also present but I don’t have a 3-pin header for this setup. Connecting a 3-pin female to a 4-pin PWM motherboard header is not recommended.

So you didn't connect the pump power cable. That means no water flow in your AIO. It can fit into a 4-pin fan header like this—make sure the tab aligns. The pin without connection is for the PWM signal, which your pump doesn't need.

Corsair's ARGB connector is compatible with your setup. You currently have two devices connected. The pump needs a 3-pin fan connector for power and RPM reporting, plus an ARGB port for RGB. Connect the pump to the first connector on the splitter, then link the fans to the designated pins.
