Need assistance with connecting the Asus motherboard F-panel.
Switching to a new Antec performance model uses a 1-foot, 9-socket, 4-wire setup. The Asus X570 plus features a 20-5 pin front panel connector. No one has mentioned this before, so I’m looking for advice or an adapter recommendation. Since no manual covers it, I’m hoping someone has dealt with similar wiring issues for these tower cases. Thanks.
Align the pins according to the photo and shift everything fully to the left as @TylerD321 suggests. Avoid the empty hole at the far right of the plug; it should fit with the missing pin on the motherboard. Also, check the motherboard for LED and RESET labels—connect them to the case buttons. Although not explicitly mentioned, this seems to rely on matching pins and connectors of varying shapes.
appears to be just power and reset functionality in that F_panel connector. written face down. the unused pin on the board must align with the correct most outer empty pin socket in the connector.
