My PC specifications
Motherboard: MSI z87 G45
CPU: I5 4670k
Cooler: CM Hyper212 EVO
RAM: 2x4 kingston hyperx savage 1866mhz
GPU: ASUS GTX 660 2gb OC
PSU: Corsair RM550x 80 gold
Hard Disk: 5400 Western Digital Green has bad allocated sectors (not sure what that means)
SSD: Samsung 750 EVO 250gb
I attempted to overclock the CPU, but only a stable clock of 4.2ghz at 1.28 volts was observed. I’m not confident that running it at 1.28v is suitable for daily use and gaming. My PC has been running continuously for 24/7.

I watched that video many times, including with TechYesCity, but my CPU is acting strange.

I tried my latest overclock at 4.2ghz with 1.25 volts and a max offset voltage of 1.271 volts. I played GTA V for two hours and everything functioned properly. Here’s the temperature chart, what do you think? I might experiment with lower voltages to improve stability, but so far I haven’t seen any BSODs. Thanks for the help!

I tried a 4.4ghz ring at 3.8ghz and booted into Windows with 1.3 volts on adaptive. In Prime 95 it dropped to 1.33 volts at 100% temperature around 80°C, which suggests I might have one of the poorest chips for overclocking.

4.3ghz at 1.26v adaptive reaches 1.28volts in intel xtreme tuning utility stress test max temps 79-82-79-73c—could it be safe for continuous overclocking and 24/7 gaming?
