Updated the information on my Gigabyte Aorus B850’s BIOS, but it didn’t start up. I reset the CMOS and now the PC won’t boot. It still shows the DRAM light, which might mean memory training is in progress. I’m planning to wait 10–15 minutes before trying again, hoping it resolves the issue. I’ve also attempted to flash the BIOS, but others on similar setups are experiencing problems with that process too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The distinction between updating and flashing the BIOS is often misunderstood. The BIOS update process has not followed the planned timeline, and attempts to refresh it have not succeeded. Updated on October 11, 2025 by leclod

Discovered that the USB port I was using wasn’t the right one. I switched to the correctly labeled port, flashed it, and everything worked perfectly—Windows booted in, and I updated my BIOS to under volt and EXPO profile. The red BOOT LED still stays on even in Windows, but after some research it seems like a known BIOS bug, since everything functions normally otherwise.
