Need assistance with BIOS or NVMe settings?
Motherboard model: ASROCK B450M PRO4 BIOS Version: P3.30 GPU: Gigabyte 3060 CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 I recently purchased an NVMe drive (Crucial - P3 2TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 3.0 NVMe) but it isn’t functioning properly. When I install it in the ultra M.2 slot, my computer freezes during boot while the logo appears. All other drives work fine. I’m unsure which BIOS version to choose since my CPU is outdated and may not be supported in newer releases. Need guidance on selecting the right update.
Tell me about the additional storage options you have and which drive is currently set as the boot device, or if you're aiming for a different setup.
Consider turning off secure boot and TPM, then connect the drive. It could help to test the P3 in a different setup like a PC or enclosure. Are the other SSDs and M.2 slots present in both ports?
There isn't another setup available. Secure start is disabled, and the mainboard lacks TPM support.
The second SSD is a 2.5-inch model. I'm connecting it via a 1 M.2 port, but it works fine when using the SATA connection. It passes the boot screen but isn't listed in the BIOS.
Consider placing it in the bottom slot. The BIOS version 3.5 should function fine since it maintains Summit Ridge compatibility. Alternatively, you might want to switch to an SSD elsewhere or test it with a different one. Perhaps a friend could act as a guinea pig for feedback.
Haha, no one around. Upgrading to 3.5 and then catching up again.
Are you asking if you must add this unusual AMD driver all at once, and is there a way to do it quickly? Yes, you can use an instant flash method.
I tried updating to version 3.5, but the issue persists. My laptop managed to install Windows, yet it doesn’t function properly.
