Need assistance with a Ryzen 7 5800x or Ryzen 9 3900x?
So I had a question and wanted to know what others thought was better. This is for a second PC that I will be building for myself. Want to know people's opinions about which is better to keep a Ryzen 7 5800x or a Ryzen 9 3900x, would staying on the ryzen 9 be better since it has more cores and threads or would going with the ryzen 7 be better since it's newer and even though it has less cores it runs games better? Any help is appreciated!! The PC will mainly be used for my plex server and for downloading stuff, but since it will have a 2070 super whenever family or friends come over they can use it to game.
Unless your app takes advantage of all 12 cores consistently, and you run it regularly, the 5800X performs better overall. It depends on your specific needs, which we haven’t discussed yet.
