It seems you were using Blend mode, and both setups began overheating after starting SmallFFT sizes under 16K. If you tried SmallFFT early on, you’d see p95 run significantly hotter than CB, not vice versa.

I think it was applied in a blend mode. I typically stick to the standard options in P95. Over the years, this hasn’t happened to me before. This might help explain the rapid temperature increase.

I lack concrete proof for any assertions. I’m just generating ideas for this fresh situation. Maybe try a fresh paste or an air cooler to adjust the factors...or even a different motherboard?
