Need assistance with a frozen PC during updates.

I was attempting a system health check that got stuck at 62.5%. After letting it sit for ten minutes without progress, I closed the computer and shut it down. Now updates are in progress—please keep your PC running. It has been unresponsive for about 45 minutes; what should I do next?

Press the power button for about 20 seconds to turn it off. It won’t be a major issue if you do that.

It could harm the computer; I've watched clips suggesting waiting up to two hours.

The computer stopped working after about an hour and thirty minutes, and I turned it back on now.

Alright! On my pc rn had to wait 1 hr 30 mins but yeah it shutdown on its own eventually and it turned on just fine.

He appreciated the inquiry but dismissed the response, overlooked the fact that a long installation time indicates a poor setup, and then felt he was correct. Another forum gem.
