Need assistance with 3500x overclocking?
Hello everyone, here are some suggestions for boosting your 3500X. You’ve already reached 4.2GHZ with the Overclock Genie, but you’re aiming for 4.4GHZ. Since your Artic Freezer 13 stayed under 65°C during AIDA64 stability tests, you might want to try a cooler model like the Artic Freezer 33 for the same price. After overclocking, consider switching to the 33 and checking its temperature performance. The BIOS date is 09/18/19, and it’s running VB.20 on an MSI B450M Pro-VDH Max motherboard. I noticed the specs match your previous setup closely—just tweak a few manual settings to see if you can hit the higher frequency. Thanks for the helpful info!
The setting from the MSI overclocking program was 1.4 volts, and it remains at that level now.
These auto OC tools are often ineffective. They work fine for tasks with lower core requirements, but avoid running them beyond 1.35 volts when multiple cores are involved.
Tested 1.35 volts at 4.2 gigahertz and it restarted while running MSI Commander software
I optimized his settings at 1.35v and 4.2ghz. To reach 4.4ghz, adjust the voltage accordingly.
