One hour should suffice. Should temperatures not rise by then, they won’t by the next eight hours.
I enjoy RealBench because it simulates real-world workloads for both CPU and GPU. Cinebench works well for CPU but may not reflect actual GPU heat dissipation. RealBench tends to raise CPU temperatures due to significant GPU waste heat, which you might notice in games that Cinebench doesn't fully capture. In most cases this isn't a big issue, though some titles can be affected. You could also use A64's stress test to challenge both components, likely offering better results than CPU-only tests, though it may not pinpoint CPU overheating issues as effectively. For deeper insights, spending a few hours on RealBench and Cyberpunk 2077 often uncovers hidden problems.
It relies on the settings on your motherboard—perhaps it's overloading with too much power.
Well here is another update. I just ran realbench stress test for the past several hours and my temps never went above 67c. Too bad I can hold that with P95 or Aida 64. I did forget to mention that right now I only have my one fan on the noctua set in the middle as a push and one top exhaust. I still have not hooked up my front and side intake and rear exhaust all in a pull in cool and push out hot config
P95 will push temperatures beyond RealBench, though it remains highly unrealistic. I haven’t run aida64 recently, but during my last test it performed quite simply. It might have been improved since then.
Typically longer tests are meant for troubleshooting. For simple confidence checks, shorter durations may suffice. As mentioned before, it's not just about voltage—it could also depend on the clock speed. I own a Z490 that speeds up Prime95 to 4.6 GHz and a B560 that reaches 4.2 GHz, each with distinct temperatures. While 4.6 GHz is the top core turbo frequency, I’m unsure if it includes AVX offset details or official specs. P95 reflects realistic workloads, not just extreme stress tests. It’s not representative of most software. P95 is especially intense on Rocket Lake since it’s the first mainstream chip with AVX-512, which P95 can utilize. I don’t have the precise figure now, but it’s likely more than a 40% boost in work per clock compared to earlier models (in P95), which significantly impacts power consumption. If you’re only testing CPU temperature, you won’t notice that gain and this has caused some misunderstandings. My Aida64 is outdated because I chose not to keep up with the latest sub, though manufacturers claim they update for new features.
