Hey there! I’m using Windows 8 on a USB enclosure—no SATA connection, just booting from USB. It works as a portable workspace. Now I need to upgrade to Windows 10, but the usual method won’t work since I’m stuck with a USB drive. I’ve tried making a flash drive and installing from there before, and I know how that process goes. The main issue is that upgrading requires a new key, and without one I can’t proceed. Installing from USB has no keyless option, and I don’t have a Windows 10 license. I’m not willing to pay for Windows 10 because I’d rather keep my current version or get back to the tech preview if possible. If you can’t help me upgrade my existing key or restore access to the preview, I might have to consider alternative options—even if it means going around the official channels.
