Hi there, thanks a lot for the comments. I might have misspelled something about the cheap item—I know it’s costly. I checked the links you shared: the Ethernet model is from NetGEAR, and the network cards are from Newegg. We’re currently using 500MB/s. We work with large files like high-res photoshop, 3dsmax projects, and big textures. Our 1GB network is almost full, so we need to upgrade soon without overspending. Our workflow faces some technical challenges, but this switch could let us reach 10GB on a standard RJ45 connection instead of expensive fiber.
Fibers offer lower costs for a bit more reach, while the module tends to be pricier.
