I bought my laptop with Windows 8.1 installed and activated. After upgrading to Windows 10, I’m not feeling the same. I need help getting a Windows 7 ISO or similar, keeping everything secure. Also, I want to know if Office 2016 can be used for free on Windows 7 or if it requires payment.

The office is typically something you purchase.

You can't return to Windows 7 for free since your device comes with Windows 8. You need to purchase a Windows 7 license from G2A, Reddit, or the Microsoft Store (which is costly). After that, you must carry out a clean installation. Using Office 2016 for free isn't possible; it has to be bought.

Regarding ISO and keys, such as for downloading Win7 and activating it, you'll need official sources or verified platforms to ensure legitimacy. Avoid third-party sites that may distribute pirated software.

You can access Office for free through Outlook, though it may not be as advanced as having Office 2016 installed. It functions well if you have internet access when needed. You don’t need to pay for Office 2016 unless you want the full version. To start, open Outlook (Hotmail.com), locate the 3x3 grid in the top-left corner, and select Microsoft Office programs—this will open your preferred tools like Word. This should help clarify why some prefer Windows 7 over newer versions.

Office 2016 is still unavailable for Windows only; Mac users can try Open Office for free or use Office Online.
