Need assistance regarding mouse input lag that started suddenly?
At least, I believe the lag is the main issue. It's subtle enough that it's difficult to pinpoint, yet it still makes my mouse movements feel a bit wobbly. Things used to work perfectly; suddenly they didn’t. Initially, I thought my G Pro Wireless was failing completely, since I’ve owned it for a couple of years. I switched to a new Deathadder v2, hoping the problem would clear up. But nothing happened. I experimented with wired versus wireless connections, but it didn’t seem to help much. I checked the motherboard connections and rolled back some Windows updates, yet the problem persisted. I also tried various USB ports, but this is where the strange behavior started.
First, I suspected that the front ports on my PC—where I usually connect my wireless adapters—were malfunctioning. Once I connected the adapter to the back of my PC directly into the motherboard, the issue disappeared. The "floaty" sensation was mostly gone, but then my mouse began freezing or stalling unexpectedly, which was even more bothersome.
A final remark: these problems appear only during gameplay or when launching applications. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated. My PC is just over two years old.

Check the games and programs/apps in Task Manager and Resource Monitor to see how the system performs. Use each tool separately but only one at a time. Watch the performance when the mouse feels sluggish. Begin with a game or app that doesn’t cause slowness. If you can, run just one change to fix the issue. What changes appear in Task Manager or Resource Monitor?
High usage may lead to delays with the cursor. I often notice this when a game crashes or hits its memory limit (32bit). If you have any other mouse connected, try it out to check if the problem continues.
