Need assistance, Ram? Make sure you're downloading everything properly!
Hey, over the past few years my system's RAM (four 4GB sticks) has been filling up quickly. In Task Manager I see it’s empty, but when I try to play games it gets busy and crashes after about 80-90% download. If a game is bigger than 45GB, the RAM fills up completely and Windows sometimes forces a shutdown or shuts down entirely. I’ve tried various fixes, but nothing really helps. Recently I bought 64GB of RAM to try and ease the problem, but it’s only reduced usage by a little—still around 27%. If I wanted to run a game without needing a restart, I’d have enough memory. It would be great if this weren’t an issue at all. Thanks for your help!
The files might be stored in RAM standby mode. You can verify this with RAMMAP 1. If it appears there, you can clear it using ISLC 2 by Wagnard without needing a reboot. Links provided:

I tried both approaches and RAMMap didn’t reveal any issues (at least what I could see). Wagnard performed some cleanup, though it wasn’t fully effective. My RAM dropped from 13GB to 9GB, which is better but still below my original 16GB. If I wanted to run demanding games, I’d need to restart. Since I can leave it open and do regular maintenance, I’ll check if this setup stays stable over time. I used a similar tool before, but it didn’t help much. I did some minor tweaks, but only the first few attempts seem to make a difference. The program is called Wise Memory Optimaser. Thanks for your patience—I’m still trying to figure out what’s wrong. I recently reinstalled Windows to rule out a bug, but that didn’t work. I might try again with the new RAM next time.
You observed the mainboard uses Killer Network, known for causing memory issues. Look for the newest driver or consider turning off the service or removing KN software.
Thanks! I removed the malicious software and just installed the drivers separately. On the MSDS site there are two choices: drivers and software together or drivers alone. By accident, I picked the first option—the software and drivers combo—which was listed first. I assumed it was the latest version and didn’t thoroughly check everything, just skimming the page. Lol, but it worked! I ran the PC for over a week to confirm the issue was fixed.
