Hey everyone, I'm facing a few issues with my HP Pavilion running Windows 10. After powering off and entering BIOS, I tried booting from USB but it didn't work. The system says it's secure boot enabled, so I disabled it to see if it would work. When I tried again, Windows prompted a restart. In BIOS I changed the boot order and there were some strange symbols, possibly indicating corruption. After restarting, I restarted again but got no video output. The hardware seems fine, but when I inserted CDs it spun up as if trying to read them, yet nothing displayed. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Edited Dec 9, 2017 by bob51zhang

Having a virus won't impact your BIOS settings.

The issue is I turned off secure boot: Could that be related?

Typically, disabling secure boot is required when booting from a USB drive. It seems unlikely that this would be needed.
