I'm dealing with this interesting situation and wasn't sure how to phrase it, so I came seeking advice. I have an older PC with those specifications: i7 3930K @ 4.2ghz, Asus P9X79 Deluxe, 4x8GB DDR3, 1600MHz. It runs games smoothly but keeps beeping. First, it makes a short beep—everything seems fine so far. About 2-3 seconds later, a longer beep followed by three short ones indicates a RAM problem. After a few seconds, it boots into Windows without any issues. I ran MemTest for four hours with no errors. I replaced the memory and everything worked again. Still, the boot sequence is the same. I don’t see BSODs or crashes during rendering or gaming, though I did experience one crash with Prime95. No changes have fixed it, but it kept running for hours afterward. Temperatures are around 70-75°C under load. What should I do now? I could just remove the speaker and let it run, but I’m still a bit concerned.
I understand sometimes an orange light shows up on the board without booting into Windows, requiring a restart. It happens occasionally and isn't always due to RAM issues. Have you tried removing and reinserting the RAM? Also, are the modules in dual channels? This is the lowest quality I received.
