your gb1500 b450m ds3h-cf rev1.0 runs with bios f61c, but you're using tpm1.0. the f62 version works with tpm2.0. since you haven't updated the bios before, consider checking the latest stable release for your chipset and ensure it matches your motherboard's requirements. if unsure, consult a reputable tech source or support team to avoid damaging your system.
I’m wondering which update to choose so I don’t get targeted. There’s no mention of f61c, just the version I currently have. For what comes next, I’m unsure about the BIOS but I won’t risk breaking it.
Install the newest BIOS update and everything should work. You may also need to visit BIOS later to turn on TPM.
I mean idk thats what I would do, if you want to see for more solutions or see other opinions be free to do so but yeah just check if the cpu will still be compatible and youll be fine. You shouldnt be able to brick the MBO just like that. Ofc if there is a rainstorm dont update
I performed this task the previous evening on my B450M-DS3H. 1. Visit the Gigabyte motherboard support page at the provided link to download the F64 BIOS. 2. Transfer the file to a USB drive. 3. Open the BIOS settings. Navigate to the Q-Flash section. Click Update BIOS. 4. Locate the file on the USB. 5. The BIOS will check the file and apply the update, then restart the system. Completed.
Confirming the transition from f61c to f64—no additional steps needed.
