I'm experiencing significant power throttling problems. Every time I play a game, the CPU drops from 3.9ghz to 1.6ghz and the GPU from 1500mhz to 139mhz. This occurs every second and lasts about 3-4 seconds before recovering. The battery also halts charging when the CPU slows down, then resumes once it recovers. I've checked Dell Power Manager and the battery health is great. Temperatures are low according to the photos, but throttling persists. When the CPU runs fast, the GPU slows down and vice versa. Specifications: Laptop model Dell G3 3579, CPU Core i7 8750h, GPU GTX 1050 ti, RAM 16Gb at 2667MHz.

Your issue appears to be the laptop failing to charge when not connected. If the device detects no charging, it may attempt to charge itself. Could you verify your power adapter?

Consider these possible reasons: 1) adjust power level 2) configure NVIDIA Optimus mode. Open NVIDIA settings and ensure NVIDIA graphics are enabled across all games to prevent them from changing resolution for energy savings.
