My desktop has been in use for nearly four years (three years and eight months) – it’s performed well, with no problems. It consistently handles whatever I need.
I realized it might be struggling with running Arc Raiders (and possibly other titles) as smoothly as it should.
I usually get around 60 frames per second on low settings, though the frame rate can be a bit higher depending on my position.
However, since I’m using a 3440 x 1440 widescreen display, this clearly impacts my performance.
My main question is how to enhance this setup. I suspect the GPU could be the issue, but I don’t want any bottlenecks. I’ve done extensive research on components and bottlenecks, trying to match them for optimal results.
Additionally, I’d like to know if improving airflow with any of the suggested parts would help.

You might simply replace the GPU with an RTX 5070 Ti or an RX 9070 XT and stop there. Alternatively, you could opt for a smaller SSD capacity for your operating system, apps, and launchers, using the 2TB drive as your game library storage. This drive can be a single partition instead of the current setup. An alternative idea is to replace the i7 with an i9-12900K, avoiding the 13th and 14th generation processors because of stability concerns. You could also consider updating the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and GPU together to move toward AM5 compatibility.
I just wish I could suggest the lighter updated versions of Windows, such as this one I use on my Asus Ally Z1E. It significantly boosted my benchmarks in certain areas and improved performance in Timespy. The drawback is the licensing restrictions with Windows, which means Tamper protection, Secure boot, and TPM aren’t available. This likely makes it incompatible with newer Anticheats for online games like Arc Raiders and BF6. Still, it works well as a daily driver. I enabled a firewall (Simplewall turned on) and no unauthorized calls ever came in. The networking and performance are impressively fast.
