I’m considering purchasing this AMD Ryzen 5 5600G. It’s a 6-core processor with decent performance for gaming and multitasking. I’m curious about running it alongside an RTX 570, though I expect it might create bottlenecks. Since I plan to play games like Valorant, I want to ensure the system can handle the workload. The listing is on sale, so I’m weighing the cost against its potential value.

What processor are you using now? It shouldn’t slow things down. However, at $128 it’s not a good price, since the 5600 non-X model is available for just $7 more, and it performs much better without an integrated graphics unit.

The CPU isn't showing anything on its own; it requires a separate dedicated GPU. For this model, you can choose the 5600 non-x AMD Ryzen 5 5600 3.5 GHz 6-Core (100-100000927BOX) from PCPartPicker.

It's unclear how your system handles CPU installation compared to GPU performance. Your concern about the CPU potentially overpowering the GPU is valid, but more details would help clarify the situation.

It’s better to avoid a CPU bottleneck, not a GPU one. Don’t stress about it. You may need to upgrade your BIOS to run the new CPU. What motherboard are you using?

She uses a B450M AII motherboard, though it isn't the top choice, but it works fine for her needs

Purchase a second-hand 5600(x) priced between $80 and $100, but it seems the Am4 chipset is too expensive.

The bios should be updated to include the new CPU.
