I’m hoping you can assist me where Reddit hasn’t helped. Facing poor results in CS2, I became upset and chose to upgrade my PC. I assembled the system myself from scratch and, although not an expert, I’m capable of handling technical tasks and have previously worked in basic tech and networking support. Here are my specifications:

Please note that I recognize my machine is limited by my CPU, but if you continue reading you’ll see why this shouldn’t be an issue here. This point will be highlighted in bold.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8-Core, 3.8GHz 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor
GPU: PNY GeForce RTX™ 5070 12GB ARGB Overclocked Triple Fan
MOBO: GIGABYTE B650M Gaming Plus WiFi AM5 LGA 1718 AMD B650 M-ATX, DDR5, PCIe 4.0 M.2, PCIe 4.0, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5GbE LAN
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws M5 RGB Series (Intel XMP 3.0) DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6400MT/s CL36-48-48-102 1.35V Desktop Computer Memory UDIMM - Matte White (F5-6400J3648F16GX2-RM5RW)
Monitor: AOC C27G2Z 27" Curved Gaming Monitor, Ultra-Fast, FHD, 1080p, 240Hz, 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x Display Port
NVIDIA Control Panel settings:
Low Latency Mode: On
FPS Cap: Off
PhysX processor: Nvidia GeForce 5070
Resolution: 1920x1080
Refresh rate: 280Hz
Monitor settings:
G-Sync/Freesync: Off
In-Game settings:
FPS_MAX: 0 (Uncapped)
V-sync: Off
Aspect Ratio: 4:3
Resolution: 1440x1080
Video settings: Mostly low
Game launch options:
-high -novid -noreflex -allow_third_party_software
Relevant BIOS settings:
XMP: On

Even after the upgrade, maintaining 300FPS in Counter-Strike 2 remains challenging, often dropping to 150-200 during peak sessions. I’ve encountered many discussions online about CS2 performance issues and tested numerous fixes, but none resolved my situation. Some videos on YouTube suggest that with a 5070 paired with a Ryzen 7700, I can consistently hit 500+ FPS under similar conditions—unless the specs are exaggerated. Many players in-game report having significantly worse GPUs or CPUs than mine yet achieving 300 FPS. I’ve also noticed others posting impressive 400-500+ FPS results using older models like the 2070 Ti and 5 series CPU.

I found several videos demonstrating stable 400-500+ FPS in CS2 with setups similar to mine:

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqbHQZil8tc
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jnrRy9h8f8

There are many more clips showing similar results with older GPUs such as 4060, 4070, and 4080.

If you have any additional details to share that I might have overlooked, please let me know. I truly appreciate any help in solving this puzzle. Thank you ahead of time.

Show me an image of CPUz memory and spd tabs. I just want to verify that xmp is working correctly.
