Need assistance creating the optimal PC.
Need assistance creating the optimal PC.
Hi!
I'm just starting out with computers. I can put together an assembly, but choosing components isn't my best skill.
Cooling and storage are taken care of, as well as the case.
Price isn't important for me (not a high-end model), but a 4090 is suitable for the build. I'm aiming for the top options available right now.
I've already learned that an 9800x3d performs better than an i9 14th gen, which I wasn't aware of before.
Could someone assist me in setting up a system for me?
Motherboard, GPU, CPU (which should be a 9800x3d according to what they said), and RAM. If needed, a power supply is also required—I have a 1050W one now.
If possible, I'd like to build a white PC using the best parts available.
Thanks a lot! <3
Which nation do you hail from, what financial limits apply to your setup, and do you need a gaming display?
Yeah, sorry! I didn't mention that before. I'm based in the Netherlands. I don't have a budget for the parts I talked about, so a 4090 would work just fine. I'm really confused about the CPU-mobo-ram setup. The monitor isn't important to me. I already have one. I play both competitive and single-player games. With one I focus on FPS, and with the other on quality, like Cyberpunk—though I still wouldn't want 30fps. My max resolution is 1440p.

Sticky.
I created this because there's a lot of posts nowadays asking for upgrade advice both on here and on the CPU forums, and I feel like we could use a standard format like for build advice. I especially would like to know people's motivation for upgrading before making recommendations because that's very rarely provided in the OP...

I didn't include a GPU in this build since the RTX 5090 and 5080 models are scheduled for release soon. Nvidia halted production of the 4090 and 4080 series to concentrate on these upcoming cards, which has driven up their prices significantly. The CPU below features built-in graphics, allowing you to continue using your PC until you buy one of the new cards next month. I'm trying to recall details about the 4090 release, but I don't have clear information on it.
2-3x rates from scalpers, should they exist.

Thank you for your message. I actually chose a poor timing to assemble the PC, I'm very eager but waiting a few months for the 50 series might be a better option. Is the 7800X3D superior to the 9800X3D? Or is it mainly due to the integrated graphics? As I mentioned before, I'm still confused. Could it be possible to purchase two sets of that RAM to reach 64GB in total? Or would that be excessive and a waste of money? In any case, thank you very much!
