Hello Everyone,
My Lenevo Legion Laptop was functioning properly until suddenly it began crashing and displaying the Blue Screen repeatedly. Despite many attempts and restoring to a recent restore point, I suspect the issue might be linked to my Antivirus software (Bitdefender Total Security 2024). However, after removing the antivirus, the laptop works perfectly for several days without any problems. Then, when I tried installing the same antivirus again, the Blue Screen problem reappeared.
Currently, I use the latest paid version of Bitdefender Total Security and have not encountered any issues.
I’ve attached all the Minidump files from when this problem started. The latest one is:
091524-14765-01 (available after attempting a reinstall)

Please assist me!
Thanks in advance!

But the point is, i have been using
Latest and Paid, Bit Defender Total Security from Several Years.
Then why it started giving
Problem, now?
Could be a driver update or even an update for the OS, it's happened in the past with Microsoft's Windows, with subsequent patches coming to save the day or uninstalling the update.
Using WinDBG, one of your dmp files showed this;
Does this happen when you install the anti-virus?
You might want to see if your laptop is pending a BIOS update and if anything in Device Manager is flagged with a yellow exclamation mark.

Thank you for your reply!
I’m uncertain about the BIOS update.
In the Device Manager, only one item is showing in Yellow concerning the Apple phone Charger. I typically charge my iPhone using a laptop.
Also, the blue screen doesn’t occur during AV installation, but it starts immediately after the installation finishes and when AV launches automatically afterward.
Could you please check the latest DMP file named: 091524-14765-01.dmp?
I’m unsure what to do next.

Four of those dumps seem damaged, with symbol mistakes, but one clearly points to the issue—the FGUARD64.SYS driver. It’s evident it’s linked to a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION bugcheck. It looks like this driver misled a memory pool...

Ensure Windows Defender is completely disabled before applying the new AV software and observe the outcome. Cheers

Hi,
Thank you for your detailed analysis.
Could you please verify if you've checked the dump file named 091524-14765-01.dmp? It is the latest version.
I'm just confirming before attempting to remove Folder Guard and reinstalling AV, since the Blue Screen has occurred multiple times due to this issue.
Please let me know.
Thanks

I'm not sure what you're asking for, but the report looks damaged due to missing symbols. I know both BitDefender and Folder Guard are present in that file. If I'm right, you might think BitDefender isn't installed, but it is active.

In my view, Folder Guard is likely the issue. The driver fguard64.sys is there and loaded, though it's quite old—from 2013.

That predates not only Windows 11 (released Oct 2021) but also Windows 10 (released July 2015)!!!

You're using a tool (Folder Guard) that may not work well with Windows 11 or even Windows 10. It's possible you're running an extremely old version. I'd suggest removing Folder Guard—it's more likely to be the cause—since it was marked in the only readable dump.
TB I would recommend backing up BitDefender as well.
