Need assistance!
Hey everyone! Thanks for reading my update... I have an older laptop, the HP Pavilion CB15-061NA. It comes with an I7 7700hq processor, 16GB RAM, 2400MHz, a 1TB HDD, and a GTX 1050 graphics card. Although it's a bit outdated, it still functions well so far. I planned to upgrade by adding an SSD to boost performance. I installed a 240GB M.2 SSD, and everything works smoothly—SSD is recognized and functioning properly. I cloned my HDD to the SSD and updated the BIOS to switch the boot device to the SSD. However, when trying to change the boot option in Boot Manager, I get stuck. After selecting the SSD, nothing happens, and pressing Enter keeps me on the original choice. Someone, can you help figure out what’s going wrong? Thanks!
Once I cloned the drive, I unplugged the old HDD in the laptop. The boot menu switched to the new SSD afterward. After replacing the old HDD, I wiped it clean and everything functioned properly as expected. Thanks to everyone who helped me find a solution!
