thanks for the info. i'm using aorus b560m with rtx 3060ti and gigabyte p750gm. recently, when playing games my screen goes black while background apps like discord work fine. even after refreshing the gpu drivers, the display issue persists and i have to restart the pc. using a different gtx 1060 works perfectly. initially, i thought it was a gpu problem, so i got rma, but now it's happening again. i'm worried about the psu. what could be causing this?
The PSU experienced similar problems before, often failing during fullscreen video playback. When the issue occurred, a black screen appeared while audio continued, and the display would sometimes refresh before stabilizing. After replacing the PSU with a different model from Seasonic to another from Cooler Master, everything functioned properly. The system ran an I5 processor, Z87 Pro motherboard, a GTX 560 graphics card, and a 250 GB SSD. It also had four 4 TB IronWolf drives in RAID 5. Watching H.264 content was consistently problematic until the new PSU was installed.
Thank you for your time; it seems the PSU can't really rely on gigabytes with PSUs.
I suggest Corsair RMx models—they perform exceptionally well. I've tried one and experienced no problems.
