It's accurate that for casual gaming the 9800X3D offers only a minor advantage, but in production scenarios it significantly outperforms the 7800X3D because AMD successfully addressed the overheating issue linked to the additional v-cache die.

The video about the intel failure issue is from a year ago. Since then, Intel identified the problem and released BIOS and firmware updates to fix it. Purchasing a 13th or 14th generation Intel processor from an authorized seller includes an additional two-year warranty. The 14700K model isn’t a concern for me. The X3d AMD variants are excellent for gaming because they offer a large cache for the main gaming thread. On the downside, other tasks perform better on the base processor such as the 7800X. Regardless of the perspective, any of the discussed processors will improve performance noticeably. For reference, try running the cpu-z benchmark on your R5-1600 and check the single-thread score—expect around 412.

Yeah, Intel is actually fine right now, as long as we keep updating the BIOS. I noticed the Intel 14700KF is a solid CPU in terms of production.

Best options vary depending on whether you prioritize gaming or productivity. The suggestions you made earlier work well for gaming but are slightly less ideal for productivity tasks. A 14700kf would suit both gaming and productivity, though it will consume more power, produce more heat, and make more noise. Your PSU should handle it without issues. For a pure gaming upgrade, a 7800x3d offers excellent performance at a reasonable price. If your workflow is highly specialized, consider what CPU type benefits most and choose accordingly.

OK so as long as bios gets updated and you avoid trying to overclock, it works.
Upgrading modern chips isn't very effective.
Bins are used, and top chips go into stronger processors such as the 14900K.
Gamers tend to perform better when the turbo feature is enabled.
Turbo boosts a few cores while reducing others.
Single-thread performance is what matters most for gamers.
Multiplayer with many players could be an exception.
This applies to both Intel and AMD processors.
