Hello, I have a query about assembling a new PC. The RTX 40 Series cards are currently quite costly. I have a 3060 Ti processor and am considering pairing it with an i7-13700K for 1080p. I’m wondering if the i7-13700K will be limited by the 3060 Ti. I don’t want to upgrade the CPU just for a new graphics card.

If the 13700k doesn't cause a bottleneck at 1080p, it won't hinder the 4070 Ti at that resolution. In fact, it should help avoid a GPU bottleneck.

40 series is costly yet 7900xt anyone, and the i7-13700K won<|pad|>'s limits not at all. Also, you might prefer AM5 for better socket durability and future-proofing with newer chipsets.

You don't believe a GPU can limit a CPU in a gaming PC. The main aim is to get the best performance from your GPU, like the 3060ti in 2023. The 13700k will fully utilize this card, particularly at 1080p, so any frame rate issues are probably due to GPU constraints. If you need more speed and better GPU options become available, you won't face major bottlenecks. Whether CPU or GPU is the limiting factor in a game is normal, and that's often the intended outcome.
