Need a brief clarification on homegroups?
So let me preface, yes I'm confused and yes I don't use this feature ever, but I still would like to understand what's going on... I remember that I had some trouble to get rid of it, and I suppose it has to do with "network discovery"... So simple question, is it normal homegroups doesn't show up here, and will it show up if I turn on network discovery (which I won't do obviously, hence I'm asking) Bonus question, is there any way to get rid of the big blue "access media" and "map network drive" in the top left? I really don't need it and it's just cluttering up my file explorer (though yes, I expect this level of customization not being available on Windows 10, but who knows) Edit: tbh I really want to get rid of the whole "sharing" section shown in the first picture ideally, I wish it was possible...
Hehe, that’s intriguing, I thought it could be. It confused me because I’d noticed it before and it took time to get rid of it. I was convinced I still saw it somewhere, even though it wasn’t showing up now. Note: I’m using Windows 10 1803, and it used to appear under “networks.” I almost deleted “networks” yesterday but realized that would likely cut off any network access! Thanks for the update—I know it wasn’t a big deal, but it was a bit puzzling for me.
