Hi there, I recently acquired an X79 board secondhand. Upon starting it, I discovered a nice detail—the boot logo displayed the classic NCIX PC emblem along with a model code for an OBSX79-R2. Anyone familiar with this model from earlier days? It’s interesting to revisit since I hadn’t explored the HEDT selections at NCIX when it first launched.

This board is built around the Intel X79 chipset and launched between 2012 and 2013 as part of the High-End Desktop line. The motherboard was crafted to work with Intel's Sandy Bridge-E and Ivy Bridge-E processors using the LGA 2011 socket. It accommodates quad-channel DDR3 RAM and offers eight DIMM slots, supporting memory up to 64GB. Connectivity includes four USB 3.0 ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and it can handle NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFireX multi-GPU setups. It targeted power users and professionals needing strong performance and ample memory.

It didn't address my question directly. However, your response is appreciated. I'm looking for someone familiar with NCIX's listings from that era or former employees who could provide details about the setup at the time. The device in question was originally a pre-build or workstation model from NCIX. It appears to be a standard P9X79 LE board.
