I have an ASRock 990fx extreme6 board with an FX9370 chipset. The RAM specifications are DDR3 2450(OC) / 2100(OC) / 1600 / 1333 / 1066. Which RAM would provide the optimal overclocking potential and boost speed?

Any DRAM you receive will initially default to the motherboard's standard (likely 1333), then adjust to your motherboard's capabilities. It seems your motherboard supports XMP, so in the BIOS enable XMP and choose profile 1. If issues arise, please inform us and we can attempt voltage/timing tweaks.

I'd consider probb 2133/9, but 2400/10 or 11 might be better options. What's your preferred distance?

I think I need to determine the right speed for RAM and brand to start with. My board has 1600 non-overclocked specs. Can I install 1866 and then overclock from there? Or am I spending money on anything higher than 1600? Thanks for understanding, I'm a total beginner.
