I experimented with advanced power configurations using regedit for super user setup, but accidentally adjusted the CPU settings. Now it caps at 55% or a tenfold multiplier, which is the minimum allowed for this processor. Windows power plans don’t restrict it. I switched to the high-performance plan, reset powercfg, and tried various tools that simplify power tweaking, yet nothing worked. Any suggestions? I’m 99.999% certain this is Windows because in Ubuntu, XP Mini (Hirens), or Remix OS it can reach its full speed of 1.8 GHz. This laptop is a Dell Inspiron 3541 with a touchscreen at 1366x768 resolution. Notes: The CPU limit shows only up to 0.99 GHz even under heavy stress tests like Prime95 or Cinebench, and I can’t reinstall Windows until I free up more space on my main system and move around 500 GB of data there.
