It happens sometimes when my mouse moves over certain things, but only on Windows 11. It does not happen on Windows 10. My computer has an i9-13900K processor and a TUF gaming keyboard. I also have a big hard drive with lots of fast memory. The motherboard is powerful enough for the work. Everything else is up to date. However, this problem seems to be linked to using Windows 11 and wireless mice in general. It has happened before on different computers too. I tried changing one mouse setting from 1000 to 500 but it still happens often. This makes me want to ask for help. Later I will show you what I am talking about. Thanks everyone.

Just like that, try getting a new fresh battery for your g305 mouse (use one you know is real) especially if it's using a generic off-brand battery. But even brand names can be bad or fake. However, if I did it right, the same problem comes up again with another mouse... Another thing you might do is use a USB extension cable between your computer and the mouse dongle. Move that little dongle up and away from the case. That could help signals come in better and go out easier. Also, make sure to keep the dongle cool.

Thanks for your thoughts. I've already fixed everything else. The trouble comes only with Windows 11 specifically. When I run the program, the bug doesn't show up. I'm buying a wired mouse tonight to test if it still happens. That could help rule out one part of the issue.

If you plug in your USB 2.0 port, that won't work. But if I use my USB 3.0 switch, that works instantly!
