My video card went wrong or what is this in games?
Here’s a rewritten version of the text, aiming for clarity and flow:
"I'm experiencing significant frame rate drops in rFactor 2, particularly when my graphics card usage exceeds 85-90%. The issue persists regardless of whether I set the graphics to low or utilize an SSD or reinstalling Windows. The game frequently crashes, leading to a substantial lag spike after each crash. While sometimes the drop is less noticeable at lower utilization levels (around 80%), it’s inconsistent and unpredictable. I've tried various troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling the game and testing on both my HDD and SSD, but the problem remains. I suspect there might be a deeper issue related to driver compatibility or the game's own resource management, as evidenced by videos of similar issues with rFactor 2."
This text describes how to monitor a graphics card's temperature and performance using MSI Afterburner software. It explains that the software displays real-time data on GPU frequency and thermal limits, allowing users to identify if their GPU is overheating and throttling down due to insufficient cooling (e.g., cramped case, reference design cards).
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 YD1600BBAEBOX
GPU: Gigabyte GTX1050 Ti OC 4GB GDDR5 GV-N105TWF2OC-4GD
RAM: Kingston 2x8GB DDR4 3000MHz HyperX Predator XMP HX430C15PB3K2/16
MOTHERBOARD: Asrock AB350 Pro4
PSU: FSP 550W 80+ Raider II Silver
SSD: Samsung 250GB 860 EVO MZ-76E250B/EU SSD
HDD: Western Digital 1TB 64MB WD10EZEX
PC CASE: Zalman Z3 Plus
All temparature is perfect, GPU is max 60ºC during game. So it's not an overheating problem.
Ram usage is good, 16GB is more than enough for every game. Or I don't know what you think with ram usage (?)
The game is on SSD, but when I put on HDD, the same fps drops happened. On HDD first rFactor 2 seemed a bit less laggy, but after a few try there was some lags at the start like in the video, so I don't think that the problem is with SSD.
How can I check the SSD usage? I want to make sure the problem is not with the SSD or HDD.
And no malware on my system, because in this week I reinstalled windows 10 about 3 times. Because I tested the games with a lot of drivers, older drivers, or without drivers, but no change. So in a fresh install of windows 10 there is no malware.
There's no such thing as SSD "usage". You can check it's capacity, which shouldn't exceed 85% of actual vs advertised space, and it's temps. You can also run performance benches on it's speed, and check it's health with diagnostic tools, but that's about it.
I don't currently own a monitor. The provided text discusses potential issues with screen tearing and stuttering related to graphics card performance and suggests troubleshooting steps involving vsync settings and potentially lowering graphical settings. It also asks about the type of monitor, specifically regarding its refresh rate and support for adaptive sync technologies like FreeSync or G-Sync.
Here’s a rewritten version of the text:
“I’m trying to optimize my gaming experience on my LG 24MP59G-P monitor. It has 75Hz and supports FreeSync. I'm running into some stuttering issues, so I’ve set all graphics settings to low in the games I play. This seems to help with the frame rate drops. I want to test if my monitor actually supports FreeSync, but I haven't done that yet. My Nvidia card is causing problems and I need to investigate whether it’s a display issue or something else.”
Here’s the rewritten text, focusing on clarity and flow:
Enabling adaptive sync functionality on a monitor requires enabling both the monitor's settings and Nvidia's control panel. This allows your display to operate at higher refresh rates for smoother visuals. However, you must enable FreeSync in your monitors settings and within Nvidia's control panel. To fully utilize this feature, connect your monitor to your graphics card via DisplayPort rather than HDMI, as this is required by the system.
Additionally, if using a G-Sync compatible monitor with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or better, you can enable "G-Sync Compatible" in Nvidia’s settings to benefit from adaptive sync technology. This allows for a refresh rate range of 40-75 Hz, ensuring smoother visuals and reduced tearing. You can find more detailed instructions on how to enable “G-Sync Compatible” on your monitor here: [https://www.esportstales.com/tech-tips/h...nc-monitor](https://www.esportstales.com/tech-tips/h...nc-monitor)
I tested more and now I am 99 percent sure, that my video card has a weird problem. With vsync on when card usage is getting high (above 92-93%), I have lags, in all games. For example I have average 100 fps in rfactor 2 without any vsync or fps limiting, but the fps is always above 70. But when I set vsync to on (on 60hz, so this is a 60fps limit), I get lags when the video card usage reaches 90+ % (about 92-93%). I have never heard before about this problem. I think this is a hardware problem. Maybe I will buy a new card, because this sucks...
