My success rate with 1080 OC is solid.
Hello,
I was testing one of my GTX 1080 units from Colorful GTX1080, a top model for gaming.
In earlier generations, managing temperature was crucial; now you don’t need to adjust fan curves as the GPU reaches its limits before temperature hits the set point and causes throttling.
I managed to achieve around 2050mhz with a temperature of about 65–70°C at 35–45% fan speed.
The card includes 2X8 pins.
Through research, I saw most users stayed within this range. The challenge is pushing beyond it.
I think the TDP limit is around 185W.
Please share your experiences.
2050mhz is typical for the 1080. Raising the power and voltage could improve performance further if needed. Consider boosting your memory's overclock settings. My 1070 reached its maximum boost clock of 2020 with a +420 adjustment on the memory.
