Hello, I attempted some simple tasks and realized I no longer have admin rights. I don’t recall making any changes. This is the account I’ve used before—I tried to save a file in C:/ but received a permission error. Ask my admin for help...? What’s going on? I opened Notepad as an administrator and was able to save to C, but since I’m already that user, I’m confused about what’s happening.

It's possible the 'Administrators' group lacks permission for that area as well.

You're asking for clarification. What you're explaining is typical behavior. Since Vista, no one has the true administrator rights. The C:\ folder was restricted until you had admin privileges. The only access allowed is at the user level in your personal folder (C:\Users\<your name>\), and C:\Users\Public\). This pattern is similar across Linux-based systems and Android.
