yesterday i attempted to fix my ram but after several tries the pc would start and stop repeatedly and then shut down. later it stopped booting completely. i tried everything - jumper, cmos battery, removing all ram, taking out gpu - nothing worked. please help me. thanks.

When you ask a question, especially on Tom's, it can be hard to follow. I'm struggling to understand what you mean. What motherboard are you using?

Reset the CMOS. Be sure to maintain contact between the pins for about 30 seconds; it seems you didn’t keep it that long. Additionally, check your motherboard’s manual for guidance on proper RAM installation.
