My RGB fusion stuff stopped finding my RAM
Hey, I'm really frustrated because of a bad issue. I recently bought some Adata XPG Spectrix D50 RAM. The maker said this RAM is okay for RGB Fusion, and that was true, but right after I installed it, the program freezes or restarts randomly. After a few days, the colors just changed back to normal. My first try at fixing this was uninstalling everything and reinstalling. But when I downloaded the new version called RGB_Fusion_B21.1210.1, my RAM stopped being detected. Going down to an older version like RGB_Fusion_B21.1116.1 didn't work either. When I wiped Windows and started fresh, everything worked fine. So here is my question: what files should I delete? The folder itself isn't the problem. Honestly, I don't know how to fix this because I'm pretty sure deleting the registry settings will help. I am running Windows 10 Pro 21H2 on a Z590 Gaming X board with F6 BIOS and all the latest drivers. When I use OpenRGB after the trouble started, it works perfectly fine. I downloaded that app just to check later.
XPG RAM can sometimes cause trouble. It might not just be a problem with the Gigabyte software. If OpenRGB works fine, why should you fight against RGB Fusion? RGB Fusion needs two drivers: ene.sys and gdrv2.sys. You could check https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/autoruns to see if they stop loading when Windows shuts them down. I don't know which ones OpenRGB uses. I do know that ene.sys is found on Asus boards, so one of those drivers might be part of the issue...
