Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing issues with consistently low frame rates while playing PUBG.
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: GTX 1080
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 3200
Game installed on SSD: Yes
Resolution: wqhd
Settings: Medium
Monitor: wqhd 144Hz G-Sync

I’ve examined the system's processing load, observing that the CPU consistently operates around 50% (with individual cores rarely exceeding 80%), and the GPU fluctuates between 30-80%. Notably, I’m experiencing around 30 frames per second in some areas even with a 30% CPU workload.
I've also monitored component temperatures, finding that the CPU rarely exceeds 70°C and the GPU seldom surpasses 80°C.
I attempted to overclock the CPU, boosting it to 3.8 GHz, but this had no positive effect.
My understanding of troubleshooting this issue is limited, so I’m seeking your assistance.
I hope you can provide some guidance.

P.S. My friend, using a weaker hardware configuration, achieves higher frame rates in the same locations.

My central processing unit and graphics card are operating at 50-60 percent while I’m playing PUBG, despite my average frames per second being below 100. My display is set to a refresh rate of 180Hz. I’ve reduced all game settings to their lowest levels. My system specifications are: a 3930K processor with no modifications, a GTX 1070 graphics card with 15 GB of memory utilizing two 8GB sticks at a speed of 1600MHz, a Z79P motherboard, a 120GB Samsung SSD, and Windows 10 Pro x64.

Regarding the construction of this system, did you install a new version of Windows 10?
Has your graphics card been recently updated?
Did you verify that your memory modules are correctly positioned in the motherboard’s slots, as detailed in the manual, to enable dual-channel operation?
Have you configured power settings within Windows 10 to prioritize maximum performance?
If you aren't utilizing a standard GTX 1080 model, are you connecting two separate power supply cables to the graphics card, or is a single cable with dual connections used on the other end?
Within the NVIDIA control panel, did you adjust settings to the highest performance level specifically for your PUBG game configuration?

Remove your NVIDIA drivers and then visit this website: https://www.guru3d.com/content-page/guru...eeper.html. Employ this tool to eliminate any leftover driver files from your previous graphics card installation. Subsequently, install the newest NVIDIA drivers directly from their official website. If problems persist despite replacing your power supply to rule out a faulty unit, the issue is probably due to suboptimal game settings within PUBG and the limitations of your Ryzen 1600 processor’s single-core performance, which isn't suitable for demanding 1080p gaming at high refresh rates.

Previously, I utilized DDU to uninstall all my drivers during a previous system refresh. I'm currently gaming at 1440p resolution. If possible, I plan to perform a Windows reset in the future. Hopefully, this resolves the issue.
