My custom-built gaming computer, assembled some time ago, is experiencing problems. It features a heavily overclocked GTX 970 graphics card, an Intel i5-3570K processor, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and a Gigabyte motherboard running Windows 10. The system frequently crashes when playing demanding games like Fortnite and Battlefield 4, but only the game itself crashes—the computer remains unaffected. This issue began recently and has become extremely frustrating, causing the game to crash within 3 minutes of startup during Fortnite sessions. I suspect my CPU is handling most of the processing load, consistently reaching 90% while the GPU fluctuates between 30-70%. I’ve attempted numerous troubleshooting steps, including lowering graphics settings, enabling VSync, reducing frame rate limits, and updating drivers, but the problem persists. I’m seeking assistance to resolve this issue and regain my ability to play games.
