My computer has a Ryzen 5 2600 and an RX 580 with 8GB of graphics. I frequently experience crashes between games, such as playing Rainbow Six Siege for a while and then switching to Fortnite with friends, where Fortnite will eventually crash. I recently switched to PC, so I’m unsure whether this instability is normal or indicates a problem. Restarting my computer after each game seems to be the only consistent solution I've found.

The issue may not stem from the power supply, but it is a substandard unit and I would not advise using it with a dedicated graphics card. I would replace it immediately, even if the system appeared to function correctly.

If your computer restarts frequently during gameplay, it could indicate a power supply issue. If the system freezes and displays a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), it may suggest a problem with your memory. Providing your PC specifications will assist in troubleshooting. Determine whether you constructed the PC yourself; verify that all cables are securely connected and that RAM and the graphics card are properly installed. Also, ensure your operating system, drivers (including GPU drivers), and motherboard BIOS are updated to the latest versions. Share this information with us.

It is abnormal. Update your post to include complete system hardware specifications and operating system information. Examine the Reliability History and Event Viewer for potential error codes and warnings related to crashes. Employ Task Manager and Resource Monitor to monitor system performance during Rainbow Six Siege gameplay followed by Fortnite play.

Ryzen 5 2600 with an Rx 580 8gb oc armor, 16gb tforce ram, a 2tb hd, and a 500gb ssd. The motherboard is an msi b450m Gaming plus mb, and the power supply is 500w. I will examine it to determine if there are any crash details. This is my first pc build. Apologies for the delayed response; I did not receive notifications for replies.

Are any components overclocked? If so, it may be an excessive overclock causing crashes. Are temperatures elevated? Are all parts functioning optimally?

New components have been purchased, but performance is underwhelming; unsure how to assess it. Overclocking has not been attempted previously.
