Hello, I’m facing some issues with my PC that I really need assistance with.
I installed it about a year ago and initially everything worked well. After a BIOS update that fixed some odd BSODs, things started acting strangely. One day when I came home, the PC wouldn’t boot and the CPU debug light lit up. After waiting, I tried shutting it down by pressing the power button in the case and then unplugging the power cable. The next day it worked again. About a week later, whenever I powered it off, it would restart repeatedly, so I had to force shutdown and remove the cable once more. I kept repeating this process, updating the BIOS, restoring Windows, but nothing improved.
Recently, while playing DOOM Eternal, temperatures stayed normal—around 50°C for the CPU and 60°C for the GPU. Everything ran smoothly until I switched to League of Legends. The computer crashed again, showing the CPU debug light and failing to boot even after forcing a shutdown. This was the first time it happened, so I repeated the cable removal and waiting process. It resolved the issue temporarily.
Now, whenever I play League, the problem returns. I reinstalled the game but still faced the same problem. I tried running a fresh Windows installation after the first reboot, yet the PC wouldn’t boot again, always displaying the CPU debug light.
I also ran tests with Furmark, performed MemTest, updated all drivers, and checked the storage drives—everything seemed normal except for the recurring debug light and fan behavior.
Please help me resolve this.
P.S. I’ve confirmed there are no obvious hardware faults, and the fans increased significantly when the debug light appeared.
Thank you for your assistance, but unfortunately the issue persists. It seems to be causing unexpected restarts whenever the PC goes into sleep mode. I'm at a loss for solutions.
Do you have a high-quality PSU available for testing? I'm not getting good reviews for my current one.
I experienced a comparable problem. The issue stemmed from the processor. The processor legs were slightly bent. I was using an AMD FX 8320 processor.
Really!? Did the issue begin immediately after installation or later? If it's related to the processor, I'm concerned because I haven't assembled it myself and I'm unsure if the store where I bought the parts will provide a replacement. Based on my experience so far, they seem quite hesitant to inspect closely, so I might just ask them to remove the processor right away. What are your thoughts? I have a poor experience with warranty claims for broken hardware here in Portugal.
It seems like a guess. When I replaced the processor, I bent its legs. The computer began restarting without warning. The issue didn’t show up right away.
This same problem was resolved by updating the BIOS.
