My PC freezes when there's a slight vibration on the table. PLEASE HELP!
I own a 6-year-old PC and this issue has persisted for about four years.
My system details:
Case: Corsair Carbide Spec 04
Motherboard: Asus B360F gaming
CPU: Intel i7 8700
GPU: GTX 1080 Ti
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB
Storage:
- 1TB Seagate Barracuda
- 1TB Adata XPG Gammix X70
- 500GB Samsung 860 EVO (boot drive)
Power Supply: Corsair CX750M
The problem:
Whenever I perform actions near my desk that cause vibrations—like dropping a heavy water bottle or accidentally hitting the table—I notice my PC freezes. I took it to a repair shop, but they found nothing amiss. I suspect no loose connections since I’ve tried reconnecting everything.
Initially, I thought it might be a faulty power button, so I switched it with the reset button, but the issue continues. I also moved the GPU, hard drive, and CPU cooler around, yet none of these steps resolved the freezing. My GPU has a bracket, so sagging shouldn’t be the cause.
Could you help identify what might be wrong? Thank you. 😭😭😭

Is this the green or grey labelled unit?
Every time I do something at my desk that causes a vibration—like pressing a full water bottle too hard or accidentally banging the table—I notice my PC freezing.
Is your IEC cable on the back of your PSU, securely seated without any movement?
Gray label. The iec cable is not fully plugged in because it caps out and there's still some sticking out, but i think it's just how it is. The cable aren't loose that is for sure.
