Hey there!
I’m searching for my next gaming laptop and facing a bit of a decision. I’m leaning toward something more portable, with full HD display capability when connected to a monitor. Cyberpunk sounds interesting, but I probably won’t play that much. My current setup is an i7 7th generation quad-core processor and a max P 1070 mobile card. That’s not the main focus here. If stocking up won’t be possible until next year, I might consider the 3060 Zephyrus 14 but would love your input. Please share your thoughts and opinions. Thanks!

Hey there,
If I had to pick, I'd go for the Zepherus G15 Ryzen 5900HS/3080 with 165hz, and if budget allowed. But obviously there would be significant variations in cost based on the model selected.

One purchases a laptop for its portability.
When you require a monitor connection, that feature is lost and a desktop might be more suitable.
Performance improves when the device is powered on.
However, with the limited availability of discrete graphics cards in the 3000 series, I recognize the advantages of a laptop at present.
Be cautious.
There are numerous complaints about gaming laptops underperforming.
Typically, gaming is better when the device is connected to a power source.
A frequent reason for this issue is thermal throttling.
Laptop coolers need to be compact and lightweight by necessity.
They are also generally less powerful.
Choose a laptop equipped with the strongest cooler available.
You may need to lower the CPU performance to avoid throttling.

No complaints about throttling from the zephyrus line have been reported. The alienware may throttle, while the MSI models might behave differently.

After reviewing more details, I have identified four models (I overlooked the Omen 15; I’m not focusing on Alienware).
Asus Zephyrus G14 3060
Asus Zephyrus G15 3070
HP Omen 15 3070
MSI GE66 Raider 3080
The 3080 version of the Zephyrus G15 isn’t worth the extra cost, and the 3080 GE66 is similar to the 3070.
My preference doesn’t depend on Intel versus AMD.
What are your thoughts?
