My new laptop is experiencing performance issues!
My new laptop is running slow!
I bought an ASUS Vivobook 14 two months ago with an i5-1335U processor and 16GB of RAM. I installed Windows 11 Pro on it, but it feels constantly sluggish.
Whenever I check Task Manager, it shows my CPU and memory usage hitting 80% or more. Even simple tasks like using Chrome with Facebook, Spotify, and CNN News open seem to spike system usage to 97%, with Chrome alone taking 33%.
This doesn't seem normal for a new computer, and I'm worried something's wrong with how it's working.
Is this slow performance typical?
Can you suggest any ways to improve my computer's efficiency? I've attached some screenshots of my Task Manager usage from the past few days for reference.

Thank you for your help!
Hello there! I set up Windows 11 Pro on my device, but it seems to run slowly. Could you tell me where you got the installation file from? It might help if your computer needs any BIOS updates.
I checked your links recently. The power consumption seems reasonable for the device.
How many antivirus programs have you set up? Zone alarm, Checkpoint, and others? Ideally, you should have just one antivirus or they begin competing for control over your computer. You should check the system temperatures using Coretemp. Core Temp is a lightweight, efficient tool that monitors processor temperature and other essential data. www.alcpu.com
According to my understanding
Zone alarm and Checkpoint are the same antivirus product
I will examine this as well.
Not always the zone alarm consumes all resources.

“When using Chrome with Facebook, Spotify, and CNN News open, system usage rises to 97%, with Chrome alone accounting for 33%.”
Does that make sense?
